Contardi, also known as the 'lighting couturier', is an Italian family business founded by Michele Carcano in 2006. Based in Brianza, the heartland of the Italian luxury manufacturing, the company has become in a relatively short time a leader in the production of high quality lighting complements. Thanks to its distinctive eclectic designs, painstaking attention to details and the use of high quality fabrics, Contardi has become known as the ‘lighting couturier’. State-of-the-art technology and quality materials are perfectly combined to produce a wide range of lighting fixtures perfectly at home with contemporary interiors and exteriors.
The company is committed to reducing its environmental impact by pursuing a number of objectives aimed at improving the efficiency and eco-friendliness of its manufacturing process. In order to achieve this, Contardi strictly follows the recommendations made by the ‘Global Reporting Initiative’(GRI).
As part of this sustainable development approach a new lamp manufactured only with 100% organic materials such as cellulose and coffee grounds will become part of the new 2021/22 collection.
