floor lamp created by designer francisco gomez paz for luceplan.

mounted on a triangular steel base, the structure of the lamp is made up of three mobile aluminum shafts with elastomer joints nimbly lends itself to a fluid mechanical torsion movement generated at midsection. not only does the tango floor lamp brilliantly marry the physics of photometry with geometry, creating an innovative floor lamp for indirect lighting, but, as its name suggests, it can harmoniously sway like the sensual movements of the tango dance. the fixture’s dynamic posture of intersecting lines and elastomer joints allow gentle adjustment to the direction of the light beam. outfitted with linear leds, the reflector of the lamp contains the electronic circuitry and emits diffused, homogeneous indirect light thanks to the screens in molded methacrylate.
the on/off switch and sensory dimmer are placed near the upper part of one of the three shafts that support the lamp’s reflector.
